An Adult’s Perspective Of Fake Journalist, Dave Meltzer Talking Out Of His Own Ass

Big Dave, my man! … WHAT AN IDIOT!

Now that the obvious is out of the way, let’s talk about what’s apparently NOT-SO obvious about what Dave Meltzer said about Peyton Royce.  And before I begin, for the record, I think he’s a complete buffoon for saying what he said.  His comments were as credit-less, pathetic, useless, petty and bottom of the barrel as it gets for someone who wants to be respected for his fake job title so much.  Peyton didn’t deserve this, not one bit.

To recap, some fan sent Peyton Royce of the IIconics the audio of Meltzer saying that she was more attractive in NXT when she was “lighter”.   Here’s the Tweet for reference …

Now, the entire internet is claiming that he body-shamed her.  And I guess technically, he did, considering he talked about his preference of what he prefers her body to look like.  I think that’s a bit extreme, terming it as “body-shamming”, but the Internet isn’t to be fucked with, so whatever.  But if we’re using our brains, I think it’s safe to say that we all know that Meltzer is just simply not a fan of fake boobs.  He’s said it about Sable back in the day and now he’s indirectly referred to Peyton’s new enhancements via his dirtsheet/gossip column, The Observer.  Either way, he’s an asshole and the comments were super unnecessary and unprovoked.  It does no one good, and it sure as hell isn’t right for Royce to have to read such nonsense.

With that said, I also realize that in the audio he said he thought she was a lot more attractive in NXT, which is a statement that I see nothing wrong with.  Everyone is entitled to an opinion, male or female, double standard or not.  JUST DON’T BE A DICK ABOUT IT AND USE IT AS A REASON WHY SHE ISN’T GOOD AT HER JOB!  Where he fucked up the most is using the term “lighter”, which is where the internet did what it does best … they took that, interpreted it as FACT that he was referring to her actual weight on the scale, rather than just use a little bit of context and common knowledge to know that he was talking about her breast implants.   Here’s what the internet did in GIF form and a shameless plug for my GIFing skills …

Additionally, I think it’s fair to say that anyone, male or female can unanimously agree that Peyton Royce, a Division 1 smokeshow, is extremely attractive.  From what I’ve read and seen of her, she also seems like an absolute rock star of a human being.  So the fact that Meltzer’s comments towards her appearance or anything are even entertained as a credible statement worth talking about is bananas.

Here’s a tip, Dave.  Feel free to shit on their wrestling.  Go ahead and talk about their matches all you want.  Give them all the fake stars in the universe, do all the things you do very well, but just don’t talk about their looks.  It’ll never end well.   Luckily for you you’re self employed and don’t have to worry about losing your job, which is to take the money of mindless sheep who’d rather have their opinion decided for them than have one of their own.

Lastly, to the internet.  You need to use context when drawing a conclusion. He basically got caught talking out of his ass, by doing what he always does, which is to try and make a point at all costs because his head is so far up his own ass that he thinks his word holds weight.  I’m not defending the guy, I’m just calling it like it is because if I don’t, then I’m a just another hypocrite.  Seriously, the guy tried to say that her work has suffered because she got fake boobs …. and people say this guy is a Journalist.  As they say in Brooklyn … FUCK OUTTA HERE!
